the shape of keith

The Shape of Keith is a love story. Girl meets boy… girl meets creature? Cassie is my main character. She is lonely, she arrives home to an empty apartment. Did you notice her outfits change with every cut? She is lost, perhaps unsure of her identity. She is inspired by her surroundings to create, and she dives into the world of Keith. “WHO AM I?” pops up on the screen. Overall, that is the central theme of the film. Cassie is unsure of who she is, and therefore she creates Keith. One could say it is like when God made Eve from Adam. Cassie made Keith from a piece of herself (through drawing) and Keith helped her find herself. At one point, Keith swirls and becomes After Cassie draws herself into the world with Keith, they dance together and hold hands. Once Cassie returns to the real world, she is wearing the same dress she wore while dancing with Keith. She hears a knock at the door. Who could it be? It is Keith !! Real and in the flesh ! Now they are both in the real world together. They kiss, and run off into the sunset together. 

Keith is a character I created in Foundations 1010. Since then Keith has been persistent through some of my less-serious pieces where I can squeeze him in. I really enjoy using Keith in my pieces because it creates a whole world around my character. I enjoyed making this sort of Keith-origin love story!
